We don't sell data

Everything in Macrolitics comes from public sources. You can download all of it yourself, free, from the four sites below.

What you pay for is the work in between — 125 markets pulled into one place, put on a common basis so they can actually be compared, read through an FMCG lens, and refreshed on a published schedule. If you'd rather do that yourself, the links are right here.

Where the data comes from

Macrolitics reproduces statistical data published by third parties. We do not collect or estimate the underlying figures ourselves. The sources are:

All of this data is available free of charge from the organisations that publish it. You can download it yourself from the sites below; what Macrolitics charges for is the work of collecting it, putting it on a common basis and keeping it current.

What we do to it

Figures marked as scores, composites or group aggregates are calculated by Macrolitics from these sources and are not published by them. Source data is otherwise reproduced as published.

Accuracy

Source data is reproduced as published. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete or current, and neither do the providers — both disclaim all warranties in their own terms. Figures are revised by the providers between releases, and a figure shown here reflects the release named on the page rather than the latest available anywhere.

How often it updates

IMF World Economic Outlook figures are refreshed twice a year, in May and November, following the IMF's own publication schedule. All other datasets are refreshed once a year, in May. Every figure reflects the best available data published by these sources at the time of the update.

Liability

Macrolitics is an analysis tool, not advice. Decisions taken on the basis of these figures are yours. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from use of the service or the data is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

No endorsement

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the International Monetary Fund, The World Bank, the International Telecommunication Union or any other data provider. We name them as the sources of the data, which is a statement of origin and nothing more. We do not use their logos, seals or other marks.
